Rodopou Peninsula is a place full of secret bays ideal for isolation that can be visited only by boat. Menies Beach also known as ancient Diktynna, in northeast edge of Cape Rodopou, is a secluded beach that sits in a small bay and is included in the Natura 2000 protection network. There it was the temple of the Cretan version of goddess Artemis the remains of which is visible from the beach. A place untouched by man between two cliffs with few tiny caves and crystal clear waters. Menies Beach is an ideal destination for relaxation, sunbathing, swim or snorkeling. The beach is unaffected by the winds, it has grey sand and pebbles that makes it easy to access.
